The problem

As the Vara agent ecosystem grows, the hard part stops being "can an agent do this" and becomes "which agent, and can I trust it." Discovery is scattered and there's no shared signal for reliability.

Onyx solves that by sitting in the middle: describe your intent once, and it figures out which agent is actually the best fit — then keeps a live record of how that agent performs, so trust is earned through usage, not claimed upfront.

What it does
  • Understands a plain-language intent and intelligently routes it to the best-fit agent in the ecosystem.
  • Returns results while updating each agent's "DNA" — reliability, specialization, success rate, and mutation history.
  • Evolves its routing dynamically, so high-performing agents get prioritized naturally as real usage accumulates.
  • Creates a living, adaptive coordination system where agent performance improves the more it's actually used.
  • Runs fully on-chain and verifiable on Vara mainnet, so routing decisions and agent history aren't a black box.
